Wednesday, June 23 started with the start of our 4th Series Water Blind and 80 dogs. When our first test dog Annie came back the judges moved the line ahead 10 yards. However, when Zeus, our second test dog came in from the test, they decided to put it back in it's original spot. Our first running dog for this series was #153 Keen who came to the line at 6:56 am. We had a few re-birds that took approximately four each. Our last running dog #150 Smokie completed the series at 1:20 pm. We had one dog #12 pick up. This series averaged about 4.75 minutes per dog. Callbacks came back quickly and nine dogs were dropped.
With a quick move of the mat we were at our 5th Series Land Blind. This series brought us 71 dogs to start. Our first running dog #29 Blue start us out at 2:33 pm. We saw some pretty impressive dog work with 7 dog that lined the blind! They were #52 Jenny, #103 Ryder, #104 Jack, #108 Reina, #126 Shooter, #130 Breeze and #150 Smokie. We finished with dog #26 Doc at 5:19 pm. This series flew by averaging ONLY 2.1 minutes per dog!
The callbacks came in with 70 dogs being called back. They will be hanging up at the club house and also at the headquarters.
Tomorrow morning we will start our 6th Series Land Quad at the Spangler's southwest side property with test dogs at 6:15 am and the first running dog #60 Oakley being called to the line at 7:00 am.
The caravan is leaving from the Holiday Inn at 5:00 am!
