Dog #112 will start the 7th Series.

Back at the Spangler’s property. Test dogs at 6:15 am. First running dog at 7:00 am.

6th Series / 6th Day Recap

With a little bit of a delay this morning as the judges got the final touches they wanted on this series, our first running dog #60 Oakley came to the line at 7:58 am. We had three gun changes lasting approximately about 10 minutes each time.

Our day came to an end with dog #59 Be bringing home her last bird at 4:36 pm. With 70 dogs starting this series we averaged 7.4 minutes per dog for a total of 8 hour 38 minutes.















6th Series / 6th Day - That's a Wrap

We did it!!! 

We got all 70 dogs to the line to take chance to complete the 6th Series. 

Our 6th day and 6th Series is officially in the books at 4:36 pm.

Flyer - The flyer was angled back down the low - tough bird. Be hunted above the flyer but finally got it. 

Middle - She came in under the arc for a loop down and grabbed her bird.

Left - Be drove up the hill to the gun station and looped left behind it then went straight to the bird. Nice Job team.

Flyer - Gretta hunted away from the line, then up on the hill to the right. She was up high enough to wind the bird and get it.

Middle - Up to the holding blind, Gretta hunted behind the cover the down the hill to her bird.

Left - She climbed to the right of the holding blind to the top of the hill. Hunting back in forth, left then right, Gretta got out of sight. Coming into view, she was way at the top of the hill and had to be handled to the bird.

*Note: The wind is gusting out of the west.

2nd Gun Change / Condition - 6th Series

At 12:12 pm we have a gun change. All gun stations are doing practice throws. Temperatures has rising only two degrees since 8:00 am to 77. Humidity is about 75%. Depending on the length of their hunt, the combined heat and humidity is taking their toll on the dogs.

The winds are varied some but is back coming from the south at 9 mph.

Middle - She lined up thru the trees just to the back side of the guns. Gracie looped around to the left and went straight to the bird. 

Left - Gracie lined out to the gun station, made one loop to the right of the guns then turned left landing at the fall area for the bird.

Middle - With a laser line she went uphill to pin the bird. Good Job

Left - She ran around the blind up to the top of the hill then down and around twice to get her bird.

Right - Kala went over the strip of cover, then back to grab her bird.

Left - Out to the area, Kala drove thru the cover and around the backside. She reappeared below and made another pass that put her on her bird.

Long - Nice line to the area, then Cole dipped past it but came back into the picture for his bird.

Middle - She took a wide initial line curling into the fall area beautifully and landed at the bird. Nice Job

Left - Hannah took a great initial line and then squared going up the hill. Getting behind the guns, she came around from behind and worked her way down the hill to get the bird.

Flyer - A tough flyer, Bubbles ran a tight to the guns then up to the cover getting stuck in a single spot, but she finally worked it out and got her bird.

Middle - Bubbles ran a line directly at the bird, going over the hill but came back immediately with the bird.

Left - With a laser line at the bird, Bubbles turned right uphill and once in the cover, she got behind the holding blind, then went directly to the bird.
